PNG is a lossless format that can include transparency. For logos and screenshots, zoom in after conversion to check edges and small text.
When to choose this output · JPG
JPG is useful when a photo upload form requires broad compatibility. It cannot store transparency: transparent areas use your chosen background color, white by default. Re-encoding can introduce compression loss.

Are my files uploaded or overwritten?
Images are processed in your browser. Originals stay unchanged and results download as new files. Pixels are re-encoded; this is not a tool for preserving original metadata.
